On this day, during this night in 1918. The Romanov Family were murdered brutally…ending over 300 years of Royal Russia - The Romanov Dynasty / Династия Романовыхty. This will be the 96th anniversary of their death. The family was awoken by the Bolsheviks late at night. The evil men said that the White Army was approaching and they must be moved immediately for safety. The Romanov family were led down some eery stairs and into a small room in the basement. They were told to wait until the motor cars arrived. But no cars ever appeared. When they entered the room Nicholas asked “No chairs? Shall we not sit?” so Yakov Yurovsky (the leader) demanded his men to get two chairs, one of Nicholas and Alexei and one of the Empress. Yakov told the family, doctor and three servants that the Russian people thought they have escaped so he wanted them to position themselves for a photograph so he can prove to them they have not escaped. As he positioned them he then proceeded to say “Your relations have tried to save you. They have failed and now we must shoot you.” Nicholas was stunned, of course, and he asked “What?! What? Repeat?!” but it was too late. They got stripped, bayoneted, shot. Rest in Peace- Empress Alexandra Feodorovna (46), Emperor Nicholas II (50), Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna Romanov (22), Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna Romanov (21), Grand Duchess Marie Nikolaevna Romanov (19), Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanov (17) and young Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich Romanov (13). Way too beautiful and passed away way too young.

“The atmosphere around us is fairly electrified. We feel that a storm is approaching. But we know that God is merciful…our souls are at peace. Whatever happens will be through God’s will” Alexandra had written to Anna Vyrubova (a family friend) a few days before leaving Tobolsk for Ekaterinburg…to their death.
